the setup

The right tools for the right job.

A four-vehicle fleet, a 2,400 sq ft shop in Oakville, and a tool list we can name part numbers on. None of this is decoration — it’s the difference between finishing a job on Tuesday and finishing it on Thursday.

the fleet

Four trucks. One standard.

Four work vehicles, each stocked for the trade it rolls on. The F-250s carry framing lumber and deck boards; the Express van carries finish carpentry, tile, and electrical. Every tool gets checked into the truck before the day starts — so a job doesn’t lose an hour at 2 PM to a missing extension cord.

  • 01Two Ford F-250 work trucks (branded wrap)
  • 02One Chevrolet Express cargo van (tool transport)
  • 03One utility trailer (material hauling)
the workshop

2,400 square feet of shop floor.

Our 2,400 sq ft shop in Oakville has a 3 HP shaper, a 20-inch planer, a sliding table saw, a spray booth, and enough floor space to dry-fit a 10-foot face frame without walking around it. Cabinet boxes, stair treads, built-in benches, mantel shelves, custom millwork — if it needs milling, it happens here before it ships to the job site.

147 Lakeshore Road East, Unit 12, Oakville — by appointment only. Give us a call if you’d like to see the space.

the tools

We don’t cheap out on tools.

Good tools don’t make a carpenter, but bad tools stop a good carpenter from finishing the cut. Here’s what’s in the truck — not everything, but the pieces that either move a job forward or hold it up when they go missing.

DeWalt 12" Sliding Compound Miter Saw

12-inch blade, dual-bevel sliding head, stops at every detent from 0 to 50 degrees. The saw we reach for on stair stringers and trim runs.

SawStop Table Saw

Induction motor with a flesh-detection safety brake — contact with skin stops the blade in about 5 milliseconds. We'd rather buy a replacement brake cartridge than a replacement thumb.

Festool Dust Extraction System

HEPA-rated dust collector that plugs into every saw and sander we run. The vacuum starts automatically with the tool, and the fines get captured before they reach the air in your house.

DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless System

One battery platform across drills, impacts, circular saws, recips, and shop lights. Five batteries in the truck at all times so nobody waits on a charger.

Makita Finishing Tools

Palm sanders through 80, 120, 180, and 220 grit for every face frame we finish. Routers for profile edges, oscillating multi-tool for the cuts a saw can't make.

Bosch Laser Levels

Self-leveling cross-line laser for deck layouts, cabinet runs, and tile courses. Accuracy is 1/16 inch at 30 feet — tighter than anyone's eye.

Pneumatic Framing Nailer Kit

Framing gun for 2x structural, 15-gauge finish nailer for casings and baseboards, 18-gauge brad nailer for delicate trim, and a narrow-crown stapler for cabinet backs.

RIDGID Shop Vac System

5-HP wet/dry shop vac in every truck for end-of-shift clean-up. The rule on site: we hand the space back cleaner than we walked into.
