The handle looks clear when it is off. Then you turn it towards hot and it taps the backsplash. That small collision can leave part of the temperature range inaccessible, and pushing harder does not improve the layout.
Draw the space the faucet uses while moving
Measure from the centre of the mounting hole to the finished backsplash, including projecting trim and window sills. Record the height of any inward-opening sash and the position of its handle. The faucet specification should show spout height and reach; ask the maker for the full handle sweep if it is unclear. Product photography usually shows only one convenient position.

Do not assume the handle can go on either side
The Moen Align 7565 specification, for example, permits a rotating spout but specifies a right-side handle. Those are different features. Other models have different arrangements, so ask about your exact faucet and version before turning the whole body to escape a wall.
A full-size paper side profile can help compare a candidate with the sill. A showroom model is even better: move it through its complete travel. If you are changing the sink as well, approve the faucet hole position with the sink cutout and mounting layout, not after fabrication.
For an existing conflict, identify what can legitimately change
A different compatible faucet may be less disruptive than a new hole in the countertop. A forward-operating handle or lower profile may help, but confirm the actual dimensions and operation rather than buying by that description alone. Relocating holes can interfere with the bowl, mounting hardware or stone edge; the fabricator must approve it.
Do not alter a window's operation or remove its safety hardware to accommodate the tap. Keep hose and supply connections untwisted if an installer repositions a permitted faucet. Once corrected, check both temperature extremes, full flow, spray-head return and window movement together. If the base now rocks, the mounting needs attention as well.
