The cabinet needs a wall detail
Get the exact installation instructions before framing inspection or wall closure. They should inform the support location, fasteners, substrate, and mounting method. - Give the installer the vanity, basin, and countertop model details together.
- Mark the finished mounting height from the future floor surface.
- Locate the required support and photograph it with dimensions before covering it.
- Coordinate any reinforced wall or alternate fixing design with the appropriate professional.
The drawer wants the same space as the pipe
Lay the plumbing drawing over the cabinet drawing. A trap can land exactly where a drawer back wants to travel. Shutoffs can disappear behind a fixed panel. A mounting bracket can collide with a supply line. Resolving those conflicts after tiling usually costs more than moving a line on paper.
Check access for service, not only whether the drawer shuts. Do not remove substantial cabinet material or improvise a trap arrangement to rescue a late selection. Floating is a look, not a promise of easy installation
Leila's imagined fix opens a narrow section of the new wall. One tile cannot be salvaged and the spare box earns its keep. The vanity eventually hangs beautifully, but it costs a repair day and some goodwill. Choosing it before the tile would have been considerably more elegant.
Plan the tile layout around the vanity, and settle any shower niche at the same open-wall stage.
